Frustrating, unfair, ruled by the gods of randomness a.k.a. "RNGesus"... These are the ways I'd describe the "soulslike" genre of games (which includes Demon Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Elden Ring, and lots of knockoffs)... But a lot of people absolutely love these games. What do you think?

(I'm playing my first game in this category actually, Dark Souls 2 on the PS3. It's going okay. They say you can't grind in these games but you totally can. If you fight a boss enough times, eventually the gods will smile on you and the boss will do 10 stupid things in a row, allowing you to win).
