This is one of those questions that can never be answered, and people can hold wildly different beliefs at different points in their lives. I used to believe in free will, but the more I think about it, I don't know. How do we know we aren't all just tentacles of some vast multi-dimensional being, and our thoughts and emotions are just the central octopus brain telling us what to do?
